A Dedicated Vocal Coach
"I have worked as a professional opera singer in England and Australia and am a very experienced teacher and vocal coach. I've worked with people aged from 8 to 80, and from complete beginners to professional musicians. It's never too late to start and most people can advance very quickly."
Since Peter Cox came to the UK in 1987 his opera roles have included Don Giovanni, Leporello,
Count Almaviva (Figaro), Papageno, Guglielmo, Marcello, Scarpia, Escamillo (the toreador), Germont,
Peter (Hansel and Gretel) and Mr Noye. He has also performed all the major oratorios, given many solo recitals and masterclasses.
He has been teaching singing at University of Kent since 1994 and taught at The King's School, Canterbury for 12 years. Peter has also run adult beginners classes and can teach a range of styles, from contemporary to classical.
Peter teaches mostly at his home in Barham. He is happy to offer lessons either on a regular basis or just occasionally.
